"Squeak", indeed!

I just read a very ANTI GOLDEN GLOBE article by Sean Smith. He said,
"the Golden Globe Awards are kind of a joke," and that "beside Witherspoon and George Clooney (who was nominated for directing “Good Night, and Good Luck” and for a supporting role in “Syriana”), there’s very little star wattage to attract casual viewers to the show."
HA! Yeah, right. Woody Allen and Russell Crowe have been in HARDLY ANYTHING.
Perhaps worst of all, he said: "Lee, actor Heath Ledger and supporting actress Michelle Williams all grabbed Globe noms and are almost certain to get Oscar noms, too. Snubbed, though, was Ledger’s costar Jake Gyllenhaal. He may still squeak into the Best Supporting Actor race for the Academy Awards, but it’s looking far less likely now."
Best SUPPORTING actor? Less likely? SQUEAK????? He's the star* of the whole movie!! How dare you say those things about my boyfriend**! I will admit he wasn't nominated for best actor, but that doesn't mean he won't be nominated for an Oscar!
Read the whole article! It's at: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10493056/site/newsweek/
Alright, enough ranting. I need to go to bed.

*Yeah, yeah, alright. COstar
**In the very loosest sense of the word, as he doesn't know I exist.

Snape Is Innocent!!

Today I made buttons that said: Snape Is Innocent and, Potter Stinks, Support Cedric Diggery, the Real Hogworts Champion. I also made one with a picture of Ron and Hermione that said Just Snogg Already!!
Ubber cool. My mom wore a Snape Is Innocent one when she was shopping and two people said things about it!!! YAY! I'm famous!
I'm almost too obsessed with Harry Potter and movies to notice, but it's Christmas Eve, so Merry Christmas!!

*Blush, giggle, snogg*

I have been reading Ron/Hermione fan fiction. Every single one has roughly the same plot, so here's an abbreviated one for people who just want the gist:
Hermione was thinking about Ron and how she totally had the hots for him. As fate would would have it, they wound up alone in the same room together. Hermione smiled coyly. Ron smiled coyly. Hermione blushed. Ron blushed. Then they snogged.
The End

YAY fan fiction!!!

Golden Globes!! GAAA!!!

I watched previews for all the movies nominated for best picture!! (It's so cool I can watch previews on the computer!!)
Unfortunately, I haven't seen ANY movie that's nominated, but here's my summary of this years picks:
Pride and Prejudice: I really want to see this movie! I read Pride and Prejudice last spring, and I really liked it.
Good Night and Good Luck: I watched the trailer twice, but I didn't really understand what it was about. All I know is it's directed by Gorge Clooney.
The Producers: I have seen a different version of this! Basically, this guy figures out he can get really rich by producing a play that's really bad. I'd say more, but I don't want to spoil it! (Because NOBODY knows the plot to The Producers, after all.)
A History Of Violence: I don't really like violent movies, so I don't think I'd like this one. I don't think it looks like a BAD movie though.
Brokeback Mountain: I'll say two things. 1. It's just uncanny good luck that Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal are in the same movie, and 2. Larry McMurtry! You can never, EVER have too many writers at award shows!
Match Point: I think it's about this guy who gets married but falls in love with the girl he's having an affair with. I think there's murder involved somehow, but I'm not sure where that comes in. I might see it because it's directed by Woody Allen, I love Woody Allen!
Mrs. Henderson Presents: I know absolutely NOTHING about this movie because I didn't see a preview.
The Squid and the Whale: I thought it looked pretty good. I think it's basically about a married couple who get separated and their kids are, well, sad, but it looked like one of them was helping his dad get dates, so they're not too broken up about it. Of course, I haven't seen the movie yet, so what do I know?
The Constant Gardener: My mom and dad saw this movie, but I didn't. What I gather from the preview is these two people fall in love, and go to Africa, then one of them dies and it's really sad ect. ect. ect. It looks like a good movie, but I hate sad movies!! :-(
Walk the Line: I want to see this movie even though I'm not really sure what it's about! It has something to do with music............

Baby booties!

My second cousin and her baby are here for the weekend from Switzerland, and I just crocheted BABY BOOTIES!!!! I only made one, but I remembered to write down the pattern as I went, so I can make another one later. I made a pair of booties before, but they were a different kind, and they weren't as good. :-( I will post the pattern on my crochet blog later. (If I think of it..............)
We got a Christmas tree!! It's really cool. Today we have a lot of presents to wrap because at church my mom picked out a family to get gifts for. They probably wouldn't get gifts otherwise, so it's good, but a little sad. It was hard picking out presents because we know nothing about the family except ages and genders.
And yes, I saw Harry Potter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was good except they had to cut out a lot, kind of like Return of the King. I have one suggestion: Cut out the part where the dragon gets loose, and add the house elves!!!!!
